Sue McTague joined ED in 2017.  She immediately began to streamline processes and procedures.  What used to be a 20-25 hr a week job became a 12-15 hrs per week.  She is a true professional who is dedicated, responsible, trustworthy.  Highly capable, knowledgeable and detail-oriented.  In the last four years, Sue has implemented numerous process improvements that have benefited Effective Data.  We are now using a PEO to process payroll and all can now pay all vendors electronically as a result of her efforts.  Sue improved cash flow by successfully transitioning 95% of our customer base from check to ACH.  She was also critical in the successful PPP loan application.  Sue is a team player that we are so glad to have at Effective Data.

The Chicago Academy for the Arts is a not-for-profit with a $5 million annual budget. In August of 2021, we had to move quickly to put a temporary business officer in place while we conducted a full search for a permanent Finance Director.

Sue came on board and worked with us for about three and a half months. During that time, she quickly assessed the situation, set clear priorities, and executed critical tasks — from bookkeeping, to payroll, to receivables and payables — flawlessly. In addition, she quickly built rapport with the rest of the team in a way that made her feel like she’d been our colleague forever.
